A Cuban mother has moved TikTok with the heartbreaking video of the moment she returns to the island and hugs her children after almost two years without seeing them.
In the first post, you can see the Cuban, Doris (@doraikisestradafe on the network), arriving and running into the house to hug her children, who welcome her with tears and emotion.
"After almost 2 years without seeing my kids, thank you, God, for this," she wrote about the moving scene.
The video has accumulated over 3 thousand likes and has generated more than 400 comments from users who deeply identify with the pain of separation and the joy of family reunification. The comments reflect both empathy and the nostalgia shared by many Cubans who have had to leave their loved ones in search of a better future.
"I wonder why one cries so much if we don't know each other, and I answer myself: I am also a mom and I have my baby far away and I want to hug him"; "How brave you are, having left Cuba just a short time ago and already coming back"; "Only a mother knows what it feels like to leave her children behind.
