Cuban missing for almost a year in Guantánamo found alive

The Cuban was last seen on August 19 in the Comunidad la Güira, in the Manuel Tames municipality.

The Cuban Félix Rojas Pérez, a deaf-mute who had been missing for a year, was found alive and his family is overjoyed.

"According to our follower and relative of Félix, María Isabel Rojas Méndez, a woman from Santiago, she managed to find him and took a ride in a car to his home," announced the official journalist Miguel Reyes Mendoza, known as Miguel Noticias on Facebook.

The communicator reported that he received a message from the family member, who emotionally thanked him for the coverage he gave to the case.

Rojas Pérez was last seen on August 19, 2023, in the La Güira Community, in the Manuel Tames municipality.

"Indeed, he celebrated his 62nd birthday away from home," notes Reyes Mendoza.

On August 25, 2023, CiberCuba also reported on this case, but up to this date, there had been no news about it.

Upon declaring him missing, family members reported that he had gone out "dressed in a green and blue checkered shirt, green outdoor pants, and dark sneakers. He is 61 years old, and his family requests that if anyone has seen him, please call 21351619, 56942027, or the nearest police station."

Now, when sharing images of his return, it can be seen that he does not show critical health conditions.

Despite this, they did not provide further details about where he was found or his health condition, although the journalist promised to delve into the story of this reunion.
