Listening to Céline Dion singing at the Eiffel Tower was undoubtedly one of the most emotional moments of the inauguration of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The Canadian singer, who has been absent from the stage in recent years due to illness, moved all of Paris and the world with her voice.

Accompanied by a piano, Céline masterfully performed Hymne à l'amour (Hymn to Love), the song that the famous French artist Édith Piaf dedicated to the love of her life, the boxer Marcel Cerdan, who tragically died in a plane crash.

After nearly four hours of ceremony, Céline appeared at the top of the Eiffel Tower just after the Olympic cauldron was lit and rose into the air like a hot air balloon.

Its interpretation, a song to love in the quintessential romantic city, surprised the thousands of people who attended the opening and the viewers around the world who watched its performance on screens.

Hours before her performance at the opening of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Celine Dios shared photos with the Parisian audience on her social media.

Céline Dion was diagnosed with Stiff-Person Syndrome (SPS), a rare neurological condition with no cure yet, which has forced her to step away from music.

This is not the first time the artist has sung at the Olympic Games; she performed "The Power of The Dream" in Atlanta 1996.
