In the context of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the 17,000 participating athletes, including the 62 Cuban athletes, were surprised with an expensive gift, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition mobile phone, a device valued at over a thousand dollars.

This gift is part of a joint effort between Samsung and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to enhance the experience of athletes at these Olympics, allowing them to showcase their experiences in Paris using the best of technology.

The Spanish Olympic gymnast Anita Pérez reacted on her TikTok account after receiving her phone at the Paris 2024 Olympics, and her video went viral.

In addition to the cell phone, the athletes received a complete welcome kit that includes water bottles, bags, creams, shampoo, and hygiene products, among other useful items.

These tools enable athletes to optimize their logistics, connect with others, and share their experiences in real time.

Cuban athletes have not made much use of these potentials, perhaps because of the control they know all their publications are under, by the Cuban State Security.

The agreement between the IOC and Samsung allows medal-winning athletes to use their Galaxy Z Flip6 to capture and share their moments of triumph, promoting the brand on social media and the Athlete365 app.

The Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition stands out for its innovative foldable design, which makes it easy to carry without compromising its advanced technical features.

Equipped with Galaxy AI, this smartphone includes a 100 GB 5G data eSIM, unlimited and free access to public transport in Paris, and various official applications designed for the Olympics.

Samsung, as a global Olympic and Paralympic partner, continues its legacy of more than three decades supporting the Olympic Games with cutting-edge technology, providing athletes with the necessary tools to have an unforgettable Olympic experience.

Will Cubans be able to use this technology without fears, like any other athlete in the world? For now, no member of the Cuban delegation has an active presence on social media. Their profiles are hard to find and do not show details of their lives these days in Paris.

What do you think?
