El Chulo had a strong confrontation this weekend in New York with the also Cuban singer Leamsy Izquierdo Molina, better known in the entertainment world as Leamsy "La Figura."
On his Instagram, the most veteran of the reggaeton artists shared a statement for his followers in which he said that he has been accused of assault and that he will turn himself in to the police.
"I want to express my deepest gratitude to all my fans. Your unconditional support and selfless love have been my drive and my inspiration. Every word of encouragement, every gesture of affection, has left an indelible mark on my heart. TOMORROW I WILL TURN MYSELF IN to the authorities of New York City 'Precinct 14' due to an accusation that was made against me supposedly for assault, only God knows what may happen," wrote El Chulo in his post.
"To my fans, I want to apologize. I feel that I disappointed you as an artist, but as my mom always says, do whatever it takes out of respect. This is my last photo, and I know that soon I will be back on the street giving you music, which is the only thing I know how to do. The day I have to call the police on a man, I will commit suicide; those are codes, but well, what do you know about honor, loyalty, and respect," added the reggaeton artist, throwing a hint at Leamsy.
Several influencers shared images on their social media of the clash between both artists in which there were punches thrown.
In a live broadcast shared by Cuba Urbano Noticias, Leamsy said that he had fought with El Chulo and a security guard but had come out unscathed.
