A Cuban named Levis Alfonso, residing in Germany, shared on TikTok her heart-wrenching story of overcoming after going through a difficult separation from her German partner.
According to the video, after ending her relationship due to irreconcilable differences, bad experiences, and cultural clashes, the situation took an unexpected turn when, while trying to rebuild her life, she found herself homeless and without support.
The Cuban also explained that, due to the circumstances, she did not have financial resources and, although her mother lived in Germany with her German husband, she had to grow up and start a new life on her own.
This experience led her to confront the reality of being a foreigner in a country where the language and culture can be additional barriers, especially in times of crisis.
"When I arrived from Cuba, I found that I had no home and had nothing, that I had sold everything to go live in Africa. I was left on the streets. That helped me become the strong woman I am today," she stated. "I will never marry a German again," she affirmed.
The change of city and her desire for self-improvement led her to find a new path in life. Today, she lives in an apartment and can support herself financially, as she is the manager of a store.
