The death of a 44-year-old Cuban woman, who had been missing in Switzerland for almost two weeks, has caused deep consternation to her family and friends.
Niurka Izaguirre Acevedo had been missing since April 12 until his body was found in a small canal, according to reports from german media.
The Aargau police announced last Thursday, April 25, that his peers from the German city of Frankfurt had found the body.
In unison, the authorities mentioned that by following other leads in the canton of Aargau, Izaguirre Acevedo's husband was also found dead in his place of residence.
The prosecutor handling the investigative case assured local media in Aargau that "In light of the first conclusions, a connection between both findings cannot be ruled out.". The clarification of the background of the deaths is carried out in close collaboration with the responsible authorities in Germany.
Both were experiencing a recent separation, so the woman was looking for an apartment.
Izaguirre Acevedo was last seen in Muri on April 12. A day later, he is said to have entered Germany in a white BMW through the Rheinfelden border crossing..
In German territory, the woman intended to visit her two children, they refer to reports. They live in the metropolitan area of Mannheim, southwestern Germany.
After the woman was already missing, her sister tried to find her at her previous place of residence. Witnesses located the 54-year-old husband also there a few days before.
Now Nisleydis Izaguirre Acevedo, Niruka's sister, has a profile photo on Facebook where you can see a rose and a bow, both black, and several comments accompany the publication regretting what happened.
The user of the same social network Curi Galbán, who identifies herself as the victim's aunt, said that April 25 was a “day of great pain for everyone.”
“My niece Niurka Izaguirre left for the kingdom of heaven, leaving immense pain to her family and friends who loved her so much. My niece, may God welcome you into the kingdom of heaven, we will never forget you.”
Currently, the police continue to investigate the connection that may exist between the two deaths.
The Frankfurt police are also searching for the deceased's car.
