The Cuban singer Yotuel Romero sent a message to the Venezuelans who are fighting in the streets of their country for the recognition of the opposition's victory in last Sunday's elections.
"Cuba is fully with you," wrote the artist on his Instagram page.
He also posted a video featuring his song "Patria y vida" in the background, showcasing the epic moments led by the Venezuelan people, outraged by the theft of the election in recent hours.
It particularly captures the moment when angry young people destroy the statue of dictator Hugo Chávez and a billboard with the face of Nicolás Maduro.
The political climate in Venezuela has become more tense following Nicolás Maduro's proclamation as the winner of the presidential elections, a decision strongly rejected by the opposition.
On July 29, the National Electoral Council, a chavista authority, announced Maduro's re-election, a result that immediately sparked protests and rejection from the opposition and a significant portion of the population.
Meanwhile, opposition leader María Corina Machado spoke at a press conference and stated that the real winner was Edmundo González: "We have evidence of the truth."
The opposition's count shows that Nicolás Maduro received 2,759,256 votes, while González obtained 6,275,182 votes, along with winning in all the states that make up the South American nation.
