A Cuban asked for help this Wednesday to find her dog named Loky and offered a reward for the person who returns him.
Marlene Ramírez informed on Facebook that her chihuahua dog went missing at 12:00 PM and, in desperation, offered a reward of 5,000 pesos to anyone who returns it to her.
Ramírez explained that there is a child very distressed by the dog's disappearance. "Help me," he asked.
In the comments section, Isvel Penton Bernal reported that dogs are disappearing: “They have been stealing them for days, several have been taken from near my house and we don’t know anything, we need to report it.”
Reports of lost or stolen dogs are common in Cuba, as are people who, in the midst of despair, offer rewards, and some of these stories have happy endings.
A Cuban family, who had reported the theft of their two chihuahua puppies, recovered their pets last Sunday. The dogs were found after someone bought them and decided to return them to their owners.
"We found them," pointed out Mayrelis Garcés González in the Facebook group "SOS callejeros Cuba," while sharing images and videos that showed the girl's joy at recovering her pets.
In July, a Cuban woman said she was feeling tormented after the disappearance of her pet, a Chihuahua dog named Milán.
Yahima Tamayo Cuello shared pictures of her puppy on her Facebook profile and asked for the empathy of anyone who finds it so she can recover the animal.
