After being challenged by Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, billionaire Elon Musk accepted a "fight" with the leader and even proposed terms that many followers considered "fair."

After supporting the opposition leader María Corina Machado, the billionaire became the "public enemy" number one of the Maduro regime, which accused him of wanting to "invade Venezuela" and, in a show of bravado, challenged him:

"Elon Musk, do you want to fight? Let’s do it, Elon Musk, I am ready. I am the son of Bolívar and Chávez. I am not afraid of you, Elon Musk, let’s go for it," said the chavista dictator.

In a brief message posted on X, Musk confirmed that he accepted the challenge, amidst the growing crisis in Venezuela, where the people are in the streets denouncing electoral fraud and rejecting Maduro's proclamation as reelected president.

"If I win, he will resign as dictator of Venezuela. If he wins, I will give him a free trip to Mars," wrote the businessman.

Once proclaimed president in elections denounced as fraudulent by the opposition and the international community, Maduro said that "social media creates a virtual reality and that virtual reality is controlled by our new arch-enemy, the famous and desperate Elon Musk."

"He would like to come with his rockets and an army to invade Venezuela. Elon Musk, thank goodness you showed your face, because we knew you were behind it all, Elon Musk, with your money, with your satellites," accused Maduro, the owner of Tesla and SpaceX.

This Wednesday, Maduro lost his government entity verification on the social network X (the gray checkmark), owned by Musk, an event that occurs following the heated exchange between the two due to allegations of electoral fraud in Venezuela.
