They sell cow bones to the people at the agricultural fair in Old Havana.

The government sells the bones to the people, while people wonder where the meat from those cows is.

The food crisis is hitting the Cuban people harder and harder. The state sells the population cow bones, so they can make soup and relieve their hunger.

A report by Cubanet showed the unsanitary conditions in which the sale of bones, beef legs, and bellies takes place at an agricultural fair in the municipality of La Habana Vieja, in Parque del Cristo.

The truck that sold these products belongs to the slaughterhouse in the province of Artemisa. They travel with the meat unrefrigerated and sell it under the Cuban sun, without following hygiene measures, with flies and bare hands, in the middle of the street.

The government allocates most of the meat produced in the country to tourism. Hotels receive hundreds of pounds of beef, but the Cuban people are sold the bones and by-products of the animals.

This has been happening for years in Cuba. The situation has deteriorated to such an extent that people take the sale of bones and food in unhygienic conditions as something natural.

People with limited resources and mouths to feed buy the overpriced tender meat and consume it at home, trying to give their children something that tastes like meat.

The bones, leg, rib, and belly of beef were sold at a price of 150 pesos per pound.
