Marianela Ancheta is the official candidate for Miss Universe Cuba: "For me, it's a dream."

The Cuban model is one of the favorites to represent Cuba in the beauty pageant.


Each day we are closer to knowing who will be the next Miss Cuba in the Miss Universe pageant. This Monday the official candidates for the beauty contest were introduced, in which Cuba will participate again after 57 years, among which Marianela Ancheta stands out, one of the top favorites for the crown.

After being confirmed as the official candidate for Miss Universe Cuba, the young model and entrepreneur based in Miami expressed her gratitude on social media for the support she has received during this process.

"I am the official candidate for Miss Universe Cuba. Today I feel very grateful to be a part of this and to make history after 57 years of absence. For me, it is a dream and also a challenge. I am ready to experience it. Thank you all for so much love, motivation, and affection," commented Marianela.

In another message he posted on his social media, he acknowledged that it will be an enriching journey for all the participants and expressed his hope that the winner will carry the name of Cuba high after 57 years.

"You have no idea how happy you have made me throughout this process and the motivation you have given me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! We did it! I am very happy and grateful to the Organization and everyone who has helped me get here. It will be a beautiful journey where we will all learn a lot, and the winner will put our little island up high after 57 years," she said.

Marianela Ancheta will be in charge of representing the Central Region in the first edition of Miss Universo Cuba. Other candidates for the title of Cuban beauty queen include Alina Robert, representing Havana; Rachel Vallori, representing the Isle of Youth; and Yahira Mora, representing Santiago de Cuba.
