Viral: Newly arrived Cuban uses vase as a pitcher for juices

Amid the adaptations and surprises that come with life in a new country, a newly arrived Cuban in the United States has gone viral for starring in a funny scene while using a vase as a pitcher for juices. A video shared by her daughter on her TikTok profile (@midelysmoreno) has caused a sensation among the Cuban community on the social network, where other Cubans shared their own anecdotes as newcomers and enjoyed this moment.

This video, beyond being a funny anecdote, highlights the curious and sometimes comedic situations that newcomers face in their attempt to adapt to a new culture and environment.

Among the comments seen alongside the video, we find some like:

"I met someone, without mentioning a name, who filled the Walmart cart with cans of cat and dog food," "Mine washed that with Listerine because it smelled like mint, she says," "My mom sprayed cockroach spray in her hair," "That's nothing, my brother drank the yellow detergent thinking it was mango smoothie," or "When I arrived in Spain, I bought cat pâté and found it delicious thinking that the cat was just a decorative drawing."

Without a doubt, stories that not only entertain but also humanize the migratory experience, showing that despite the challenges, there is always room for laughter.
