In an emotional video shared on TikTok, a Cuban resident in the United States (who identifies as @triktak_eltejano on the social network) has moved many by showing his pain over the loss of two relatives in Cuba. The man, visibly affected, appears crying inconsolably inside his truck for not having been able to say goodbye to his uncles.
"God, how long, what pain. I have lost two uncles in less than a year and without being able to bury them or say my last goodbye," she wrote about the video, conveying the deep suffering she is experiencing.
The situation of Cubans abroad, separated from their loved ones, has become especially painful due to travel restrictions and the difficulties of returning to the island.
In response to these stark images, many Cubans have expressed their support and empathy for this man's pain. Many Cubans even saw themselves reflected in the anguish of this man, as they too have been unable to travel to Cuba to say goodbye to their loved ones.
