The young Cuban triple jumper Jordan Díaz, Olympic champion in the event for Spain, headed to the Paris 2024 meeting with an extra motivation in his mind.

Focused and physically prepared to achieve gold, Jordan wanted to indulge himself before fully committing to the competition, and for that, he visited an auto repair shop in Madrid with a specific request.

The athlete handed over his brand new BMW 218i to the mechanics at Evetech Motorsport to give it some aesthetic touches and "tune it a little bit."

“A few days ago, Jordan Díaz visited us to leave his BMW 218i and modify the aesthetics and sound of his exhaust. We wish you good luck tomorrow, we're sure you'll come back from Paris with something very heavy around your neck,” said the company's staff on their social media, sharing a video with the athlete's words.

In the recording, shared on Instagram, the athlete explained that this was the first car he had bought since arriving in Spain in 2021, and that it had only been used for three or four months. According to Jordan, the improvements requested from the company would make driving his "toy" more fun.

He also mentioned that he would like to have another, more "serious" car and confessed that the model he would like to choose would be a Porsche Macan GTS. While the BMW costs around 40,000 euros in Spain, the new car that Jordan would like to buy exceeds 110,000 euros, almost three times the "little toy" he left at the workshop.

"Congratulations on that Olympic gold, Jordan. When you left us your BMW 218i, we knew very well that you were going to pick it up with a gold medal hanging around your neck," the workshop congratulated the triple jump champion who, after winning the medal in Paris, might be thinking about making another triple jump, but this time with his wallet, to lift the flight of his "toy" and land on top of his new "beast."
