The beloved Cuban singer Yeny Valdés has touched her followers by sharing a heartfelt message through her Facebook account in which she spoke about her struggle against a chronic and irreversible neurological disease that she has been suffering from since 2019.
In her post, the former Vanvanera expressed: "I'm not ready to talk about that yet. I just want you to know that music and you are my best medicine. That's why the evolution of my condition is very slow... my doctor says."
Yeny took the opportunity in her post to thank her supporters: "Thank you for all the great and good things you give me every day."
"I'm not going to stop even if the police come. Faith, hope, and charity," he concluded his words.

In January of this year, Yeny Valdés had shared another message after a visit to the hospital for her semi-annual consultation with the neurologist, although at that time she did not provide further details.
"Today I went to the hospital; it was my turn with the neurologist every six months. Thanks to Olofi; everything is fine. But while I was there waiting, I was thinking... We should take a little trip every once in a while to these places, even with our children, to learn to appreciate what we have and stop complaining so much! Thanks to this great country for the impeccable medical care. May Olofi lend a hand and may we never lack the will and medicine to heal those who suffer and weep. Faith, hope, and charity," he said on that occasion.
From our newsroom, we join the messages of support, affection, and good wishes for the artist.
