"Thank God after two years I was with my mother, my family, my neighbors, my friends, and my precious little dog again."

A young Cuban living in the United States recently shared a series of videos that have moved many social media users.

After two years of being away from Cuba, Katys returned to the island and documented her emotional reunion with her family on virtual platforms.

In her posts, shared on both Instagram (katysl1992) and TikTok (@katyslgr), Katys showed her arrival at the airport and the moments filled with tears and hugs with her mother.

"Thank God after 2 years I was with my mother, my family, my neighbors, my friends, and my precious little dog again, I love them infinitely," she celebrated on Instagram.

"My grandmother, thank you for waiting for me. These days only made sense if you were there. I love you my precious old lady," he wrote alongside one of the most touching moments of his return to the island.

The scenes have provoked messages of empathy, congratulations, and nostalgia: "Without a doubt, I would give my life for hers just to have another chance, just to see her smile and for her to know her great-granddaughter"; "I pray so much to God that mine will wait for me so I can give her that hug"; "Everything is so beautiful and I can't stop crying"; "Congratulations, finally with your family"; "They are our batteries, they fill us with those hugs"; "31 years ago I left Cuba, I have never returned, I have no one close there, but I know that someday I will return again, one can never lose hope"; "Grandparents are the best"; "How good, I'm so happy for you Kati," they told her.
