A traffic accident occurred Wednesday afternoon at the busy intersection of Paseo de Martí and Avenida de los Libertadores in the city of Santiago de Cuba.
The incident occurred near the iconic 18-story building on Avenida Martí and the Moncada Barracks, two landmarks in the city, as reported by journalist Yosmany Mayeta on Facebook.
It appears that a light vehicle collided with a motorcycle at that crosswalk; however, it has not yet been confirmed if there were any serious injuries.
In the comments section, several users agreed that this is one of the most dangerous intersections in the city, a problem that worsens when the traffic light is out during power outages.
