Ramzan Kadyrov, the leader of the Chechen Republic in Russia, published a video in which he appears driving a Tesla Cybertruck with what seems to be a machine gun mounted on top.

Kadyrov stated that he will send the vehicle to the conflict zone in Ukraine through a video that was shared since Saturday on various messaging platforms and on TikTok.

The military praised both the vehicle and Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk, whom he described as the "greatest genius of modern times."

Impressed by the car, he also invited Musk to visit Chechnya and expressed his enthusiasm for Tesla's future products.

"It is no coincidence that it is called 'Cyberbeast.' I want to express my most sincere gratitude to Elon Musk! … I literally fell in love with this car. Elon, thank you! Come to Grozny, I will welcome you as my most beloved guest," said Kadyrov, a loyal ally of Vladimir Putin.

He went further and mentioned that equipment like that manufactured by Tesla "could help Russia" to conclude what he calls the "special military operation," the official term used by the Kremlin to describe its war in Ukraine.

After the publication of the video, Musk denied on Monday having given the car to the authoritarian leader of Chechnya.

"Are you really so slow that you think I donated a Cybertruck to a Russian general?" Musk wrote on his platform X.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the insurgents from neighboring Chechnya waged two separatist wars for independence.

Russia classified the uprisings as terrorism and responded by razing Grozny.

Russian President Vladimir Putin then appointed Kadyrov as leader, an old warlord known for his brutality and loyalty to him.
