Erick Hernández's career as a ball dominator seems endless, and last Saturday the former Cuban footballer broke his own world record by maintaining control of the ball with his feet, sitting on the floor with 1.5 kilograms tied to each ankle for 3:07.28 hours.

At 58 years old, Hernández demonstrated at the Havana Hotel Copacabana his impressive skill, and his track record as an expert in this art shows no signs of slowing down, highlighting his technical prowess, dedication, and physical endurance.

The world multi-record holder broke his own mark in this style when on July 15 of last year he dominated the ball for 3:04:02 hours, a result that was recognized in the Guinness records.

"I am doing the job well, and it is a challenge at my age that forces me to reach almost perfection. It is very significant for me," commented the 58-year-old from Havana in statements collected by the EFE agency.

The last time Hernández showcased his skills was on April 6 when he set the world record of 12:06.10 hours, dominating the ball using only his feet from a standing position.

It is worth noting that the Caribbean player entered the Guinness Book for the first time in 2005 for hitting the ball with his head 319 times in one minute. Since then, he has set several records, including the world record for the most touches on a suspended ball in the air for one hour, with a total of 12,237.

Hernández's achievement has been celebrated by both fans and sports experts, who highlight the combination of skill, concentration, and mental strength needed to reach such a feat. Undoubtedly, the accomplishment reaffirms him as a reference in the international realm of ball control.
