The Hispanic American immigrant who died last Tuesday in an accident when the scaffolding he was working on collapsed has been identified as Bryan Orozco, 25 years old.

Orozco, a native of Nicaragua, had arrived in the United States just a few months ago, with the aim of providing a better future for his wife and young children who are in the Central American nation, reported the Telemundo 51 network.

The young man fell from a scaffolding where he was working on the "Villa Di Mari" building, located at 5801 Collins Avenue.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) confirmed that the contracting company for which Orozco worked had no history of prior incidents, which makes the tragic accident even more perplexing.

Orozco was transferred to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition and later died due to the severity of his injuries. A second person was treated at the scene.

A crowdfunding page, in support of the Orozco family who wishes to repatriate his body to Nicaragua, remembers him as "a cheerful, outgoing, very sociable person, a dancer, the loving soul of our family, a responsible and loving father, a provider for his family, an excellent son, and a hardworking man who came from Nicaragua to the United States with dreams and goals to provide a better future for his family, like every immigrant."

The fundraising aims to assist with funeral expenses and the transportation of his body to his country of birth, Nicaragua.

Telemundo acknowledged that this case is a reminder of the risks and sacrifices faced by immigrants who leave everything behind in search of a better life. Unfortunately, their story is just one among many that reflect the difficulties of working in dangerous industries, where, despite regulations, fatal accidents continue to occur.
