Accident on the highway between Havana and Pinar del Río: Motorcyclist in serious condition after collision with patrol car.

A serious accident occurred this Monday on the highway connecting Havana with Pinar del Río, when an electric motorcycle was struck by a police patrol.

Yoel Herrera, a firsthand witness of the event, stated in the Facebook group "ACCIDENTES BUSES & CAMIONES por más experiencia y menos víctimas!" that the incident occurred shortly after the 114 bridge, heading towards Pinar del Río.

In addition, he explained that the motorcyclist attempted to cross behind some plants that divide the lanes of the road, which caused him to appear unexpectedly in front of the patrol, with no time to avoid the impact.

Herrera explained that he assisted the motorcyclist to the CIMEQ hospital and emphasized that the individual was unconscious and had serious injuries.

"I couldn't find out anything else, it was beyond my reach, the man stayed with one of the police officers who came in the patrol," he pointed out.

Another incident occurred this Sunday when a Cuban driver survived a terrible traffic accident that took place in the municipality of Jiguaní, Granma province.

The accident left the driver with minor injuries, but many people on social media celebrated that the man was able to save himself from the great impact his truck suffered.

This Sunday, another accident occurred in Vedado, Havana, leaving at least three people injured after the collision between a truck and a "almendrón" type car.

According to a report on Facebook, just before 6:00 a.m., a collision occurred between two vehicles at the intersection of 3rd and 12th, when the almendrón was hit by a truck coming down that last street.

"At around 6:00 am, at the corner of 3rd and 12th Street in El Vedado, the crash between the blue almendrón and the green and red truck coming down 12th Street woke almost the entire neighborhood," indicated internet user Raúl Córdova in a post with photos taken after the incident.
