A Cuban living in Arkansas, United States, recently shared on social media his heartbreaking experience of being the victim of an attempted robbery while driving his truck on the roads of the city of Morrilton.

In a video posted on TikTok, the man recounted what happened, describing the event as one of the most terrifying moments he has experienced in years.

The attempted robbery occurred after the Cuban refueled at a location known for having the lowest prices in the area, after which he realized he was being followed by a blue car.

Although at first he thought the car was taking advantage of the wind to save fuel, he soon realized that the goal was to rob him.

When the road darkened, the occupants of the vehicle approached his truck, blinded him with a flashlight, and blocked his way by suddenly braking in front of him.

“At that moment I thought I had already been shot,” he confessed, describing the panic he felt. However, thanks to the quick intervention of a driver coming from the right, who also slammed on the brakes upon realizing the situation, the Cuban was able to maneuver and escape toward a nearby exit.

Both drivers stopped at a nearby gas station, where the other man, an American cowboy, checked the truck to ensure there were no bullet impacts.

After the incident, the Cuban contacted his transportation company; they had received an alert about the sudden braking that was recorded and thought it was an accident.

Despite the suggestion to call the police, the Cuban decided not to: "I spent the worst night of my life," he confessed, lamenting not having a way to defend himself in that situation.

"I was coming down that whole path, I swear to you, with tremendous fear, because you have nothing to defend yourself with here," she emphasized.

At the end of the video, he reflected on the need to have a weapon for personal protection, something that he had been advised after the incident: "You need to have a Juana," he stated, referring to the importance of having a means to defend oneself in times of danger.

A newly arrived Cuban in the United States reported that he was mugged in West Miami by two individuals who, at gunpoint, stole his car, where he lived and kept all his belongings.

Pavel Alonso William was driving down a street in the city when a four-door red sedan intercepted him, from which two African American men got out, wearing ski masks and armed with guns, according to police reports to Univision Miami.
