Miami-Dade firefighters rescued twelve people on Thursday after a fire was reported on an 80-foot Azimut boat that was sailing near the coastline.

The incident occurred in front of the Fontainebleau Hotel, in the Miami Beach area. Authorities responded quickly to the incident.

7 News Miami confirmed that 10 of the people on board the boat were rescued by a Miami City fireboat.

Two other crew members from the yacht stayed on board to assist emergency teams with the use of the fire extinguishing system.

Thanks to the quick intervention of the firefighters, the fire was under control in no time, and no injuries have been reported so far.
