In Guantánamo, a thief was caught in the act by the security camera of a private house.
The video, shared by Tatiana Delgado Ros on her Facebook profile, shows the man climbing one end of the fence of the house and stealing a lamp that illuminated the entrance.
In her post, the user expressed: “Meet the thieves of Guantánamo, those who do not want to work and steal the efforts and sacrifices of others.”
The complaint seeks to alert the community about the increasing crime in the area and highlight the importance of citizen vigilance to prevent these incidents.
That same day, another theft was reported, captured by a surveillance camera. The video shows the moment a man takes a cell phone from a table in the M´KA bar-cafeteria in Santiago de Cuba.
On Friday, another user from Holguín reported the entrance of some thieves into his house. They were allegedly three individuals armed with machetes and knives, and they attempted to steal a mare.
The neighbors came together to stop the bandits and captured one of the individuals, while the other two are still at large. These cases are a reflection of the increase in crime in Cuba.
