Cuban, proud of the remodeling of her garage despite criticism: "It's not perfect, but I am satisfied."

A Cuban woman remodels her garage in Houston by herself and receives criticism on TikTok for avoiding hiring a professional.

A Cuban woman from Houston showed on TikTok the process of remodeling the floor of her garage after refusing to pay the high cost that a contractor charges for the work, receiving criticism for it in the comments of the videos.

The user who shared the transformation is @a.mi.3stilo, who in the first video shows the before of her garage floor, which she wanted to remodel. "I absolutely refuse to pay for such an expensive service; that’s what I thought when it got into my head that I wanted to remodel the garage floor. I started looking at contractor prices, and then I saw in YouTube videos that I could do it myself, well, my father and my husband. So we went to the stores to get the products. The floor of my garage is in poor condition. We are not professionals, so we trust the process."

In response to this first video, the Cuban received some criticism, and many questioned how the result would turn out, even claiming that it would wear off after a while.

"In 3 weeks it will start to chip in certain areas" or "The cheap ends up costing more," some told her, while others supported her decision to do it on her own. "Gentlemen, if you have extra money and can pay the 2 or 3 thousand dollars they charge to do this, then good. If you want to save and spend 200 or 300 even if it's not perfect, that's valid too," commented another, defending this Cuban woman.

In response to the criticism for not consulting a professional, the Cuban proudly showed the second part of how her garage turned out and reacted to the negative comments saying: "I loved the result and for those contractors, alpha males, heads of families, and builders who are criticizing part one of my video, I invite you to calculate how much I spent and how much you charge for the same work. If I had to repeat the process in a year, I would still have money left over."

According to her response to some comments, the renovation cost her less than 300 dollars. "It's not perfect, but I am satisfied," she said.

"Of course I don't care about the comments; the only ones who criticize are the contractors who are hurt that people can do this kind of work without hiring them," she commented elsewhere. Despite the negative comments, the Cuban received many applauding her determination to do it herself without the help of professionals.
