The Electric Union (UNE) of Cuba received a donation from the People's Republic of China on Tuesday, consisting of 10 generators that will help improve the island's energy capacity.

The award ceremony took place at the entity GEYSEL, where representatives from the UNE received the equipment, which will contribute a total of 18 MW to the energy system and will be distributed between the provinces of Sancti Spíritus and Cienfuegos.

According to the information provided by the entity on the social network Facebook, two will be installed at engine sites in the first mentioned province, while the other eight will be allocated to the second.

All of this happens as the energy crisis in Cuba seems to worsen every day, destroying the government promises of a possible solution to this situation, which keeps Cubans under distress.

Through their daily report, published on their social profiles, the UNE forecasted a Tuesday with over 1,000 MW of impact for peak hours.

To make matters worse, the regime has found the perfect excuse to justify the extensive blackouts that the population suffers every day: the theft of oil from electrical transformers.

A television report claimed that the theft of lubricant causes significant damage to the infrastructure and prolonged outages in the service, leaving neighborhoods and communities without electricity, sometimes for more than 24 hours.
