Cuban in the U.S. shares her entrepreneurship story from the island: "I started working when I was 14 years old."

"What I have, I have earned through hard work; I've never asked anyone for anything."


Marlan Vázquez, the young Cuban known as @marlan_estudio on TikTok, shared a video recounting her life experience of starting to work at the age of 14 in Cuba.

In the video, recorded while driving, he recounted how, after his parents' separation and the lack of financial support from his father, he decided to use the money intended for his 15th birthday party to buy a nail table and start his own business.

Despite her mother's disbelief, she continued working to escape misery. She started doing nails from her boyfriend's living room, and over time she diversified her venture by selling second-hand clothes to increase her income. "I've never regretted what I've done," she said, highlighting that she has always achieved her goals on her own, "bleeding" and without asking anything from anyone.
