Cubans make long lines in Miami to obtain a driver's license.

Cubans in Miami are facing long nighttime lines to process their driver's licenses.

The TikTok user @ardilla767 reported on the long lines that Cubans in Miami have to endure to obtain a driver's license.

According to their account, the lines start forming at 6 PM the day before, and throughout the entire night, people, mostly Cubans, gather to secure their spot.

She warned that some people have created a business around these lines, "they even rent chairs in case you don't want to stand," commented the TikToker, who also mentioned that during the wait, they sell coffee, pastries, and other foods.

This situation has generated criticism, as despite living in a more organized society like that of the United States, Cubans carry on practices such as long lines, a custom deeply rooted on the island.

The urgency to obtain a driver's license is one of the reasons that leads to these long waits, something that has become increasingly difficult to manage in Miami.

A user commented on the video: "Every day it is getting more difficult to carry out any procedure in Miami." He was referring to the obstacles created by the massive influx of immigrants to the city.

Since 2023, these long lines to obtain a driver's license in Miami have been reported. The incidents have occurred since Governor Ron DeSantis invalidated for Florida the licenses granted to undocumented migrants in five other states.

The new complaint has generated debate among users about the efficiency of local services and the adaptation of immigrants to new realities.
