Neighbors of Havana captured a thief and kept him lying on the ground for more than two hours, the time it took for the police to arrive at the scene and take him into custody.
The incident occurred on 23rd and 36th streets, in the Playa municipality.
"Cubans are forced to take justice into their own hands and capture a criminal due to the inefficiency of the PNR," denounced the Facebook profile "La Tijera."
According to the information, the subject was caught and "matured" by the people.
The people kept the criminal tied up the whole time until a patrol finally arrived.
The shared images show the crowd surrounding the police car while the officers put the man inside.
A witness revealed that there were two thieves, but one managed to escape. "He suffered injuries to the mouth, I was told it was with a bat," added Armando Soil.
It was not explained what the wrongdoer tried to steal or where it happened.
