The sale of houses in Cuba leads to surprising listings, such as a property in Havana that, for $90,000, offers a luxurious home with a swimming pool and an included restaurant-bar.
Erick Miralles posted in the Facebook group "Sale of Houses and Apartments in Havana" that the property located in San Miguel del Padrón, covering 600 square meters, is an "ideal spot for a rental business, bar, restaurant, or to live like a king."
According to the announcement, it features an outdoor area equipped with a space for outdoor sales, which includes an oven and grill, as well as a well-maintained production center.
The climate-controlled area features a reserved space and three bathrooms, with a separate entrance to the business wing.
On the other wing is the residence, which includes a garden, porch, garage, and a patio with fruit trees. Additionally, it comes with plans and construction rights for another building on the property.
Inside the house, there is a spacious living room, a kitchen-dining area, a small lounge, and two bedrooms connected by a bathroom. Another room, currently used as storage and the office for the business, includes a private bathroom and access to a terrace that links the bar and the house.
The property includes a total of four bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a recreational area with a pool and private space, as well as an open lot for future construction.
The sale includes a range of amenities and equipment for both the bar and the restaurant.
In the bar area, there is a 6-foot pool table with accessories, a display refrigerator, split air conditioning, a 32-inch television, tables for groups of 2, 4, and 8 people, a cash register, a laptop for the sales system, and a thermal printer.
The restaurant offers a wide variety of utensils and equipment, including grills, serving trays, coolers, taco holders, trash baskets, digital scales, cutlery, pizza boards, ovens, refrigerators of various capacities, microwaves, and an industrial kitchen with a griddle. Additionally, the restaurant is equipped with stainless steel sinks and work tables, as well as exhaust hoods.
Outside, the area is furnished with 7 small tables and chairs for four people, as well as another 7 large tables and chairs for four, providing a comfortable outdoor space for customers.
Finally, Miralles stated that he had the papers ready for sale.
This is not the first time that properties in Havana have been offered for sale, ideal for starting or expanding businesses.
Recently, two ground-floor apartments were put up for sale in El Vedado, one of the most sought-after areas of Havana.
However, the prices of these properties, while appealing to investors, remain beyond the reach of most Cubans, whose average monthly salary is around 4,000 Cuban pesos, approximately 25 dollars at the current exchange rate.
Such is the case with the recent announcement of a house for sale for $120,000 in the Playa municipality of Havana, which sparked comments on social media, including one that ironically asked whether the property was located in Cuba or Florida, United States.
