Cuqui La Mora warns about possible scams with unsolicited packages.

Many commented that they had been targets of similar fraud attempts.

The popular Cuban comedian Cuqui La Mora (@cuquilamoracomediant) shared with her TikTok followers an incident related to a possible scam. In the video, Cuqui shows a package she received at her home through Amazon with her full name and address, but it contained a product she did not request. What caught her attention the most was the presence of several QR codes on the package, which raised suspicions.

"I'm going to share this so it doesn't happen to you. I was seeing on social media that there's a scam where they send you a product from Amazon to your house with your name, all the details, and when you take it out, it's something you didn't order," Cuqui explained in the video. She added that the package included a product for taking fish out of the fish tank, despite the fact that she doesn't have a fish tank or has made a similar order. "I checked my orders on Amazon and it's not there by mistake," she pointed out, warning that she won't scan QR codes.

Cuqui urged her followers to be cautious if they receive unsolicited packages and not to scan the QR codes that come with them. The comedian also suggested that, in case of receiving unordered products, they should check their purchase history on Amazon to verify if the received items were purchased or not.

Users quickly reacted to Cuqui's warning and some shared similar experiences with Amazon packages, while others appreciated the information. "I received a knife set, but I loved it and I don't care who sent it," commented one user; another laughed, saying, "If I get an Amazon package in my name by mistake, Amazon will never see it again." Another follower recounted, "I received deodorants and a shaper," and, while laughing, added that they also didn't know where they came from.

Several users noted that they had also received suspicious packages, but decided to keep the products and dispose of the QR codes. "I had the same thing happen to me, I received something I didn't order, of course I took the product and threw everything else away," wrote one user. Another stated that, although he had not experienced this situation, he had seen posts warning about fraudulent shipments: "It hasn't happened to me, but it is happening, and not just with Amazon, also with rings; I've seen it posted, keep your eyes open."

Cuqui concluded her video with a clear warning: do not scan anything that comes from unsolicited packages and always be vigilant about this type of potential scams, which could compromise the security of personal data.
