Cuban in Florida gets sentimental: "Spending a December 31st staring at the ceiling while working is tough."

A Cuban in the USA gets sentimental when talking about the things she misses from her homeland.

A young Cuban living in Florida, @leidyoficial on TikTok, became sentimental while sharing a video where she showed everyday moments she missed after nearly five years of living away from the island.

In his video, which has generated numerous reactions among his followers, he nostalgically mentioned some memories that, although simple, were part of his life in Cuba.

Among the things that @leidyoficial misses is sitting on the sidewalk with a friend to "criticize everyone who walks by" or the baker's call that used to wake her up at noon, which made her run to buy bread.

Interestingly, he mentioned that even the queues, despite being something cumbersome in Cuba and hated by many people, he missed them.

However, the most significant aspect of her message was the absence of her family and the celebrations together, especially on festive dates when it becomes particularly difficult to be far away. "Spending December 31st here, staring at the ceiling, working, is tough," she lamented, making it clear the pain she felt from being apart from her loved ones.

The video touched the hearts of its followers, who quickly responded with messages of support and empathy: "Everything is missed about Cuba except for the hardships endured"; "My children and my parents," commented some. Other users simply shared their pain through emojis, reflecting what words could not express.
