Marianela Ancheta is the new representative of Cuba for Miss Universe 2024 after 57 years.

Osmel Sousa, one of the special guests of the night, recalled that the last time Cuba had a representative at Miss Universe 57 years ago, she finished among the top five finalists.

Marianela Ancheta became the young woman who will represent Cuba in Miss Universe 2024 this Thursday. The young woman, who arrived at the competition as the face of the Central Region, was chosen by a jury made up of 17 personalities.

After a first runway with the opening dresses and the music of Celia Cruz, and another in swimsuits with Aymée Nuviola singing live, out of the 24 candidates, 12 young women advanced as semifinalists.

Alina Robert, Marianela Ancheta, Maylin Hernández, Lianet Álvarez, Laynet Wong-den, Sísili Marín, Arlety González, Gallia Vega, Leanny González, Yahima Mora, Lissandra Burgois, and Cyntia García made up this first selection.

Osmel Sousa, one of the special guests of the night, confessed to feeling very proud to be present and recalled that the last time Cuba had a representative at Miss Universe 57 years ago, she placed among the top five finalists. This 2024, "The King of Beauty" expects no less from the young woman who was crowned Miss Universe Cuba.

After the gala dress parade with the music of Lenier Mesa, everything was ready to select the six contestants who would advance to the next round. Marianela Ancheta, Alina Robert, Maylin Hernández, Arlety González, Yahima Mora, and Leanny González had to answer the random questions prepared by the jury.

Marianela Ancheta and Alina Robert were the two finalists of Miss Universe Cuba 2024.

Next November, Marianela Ancheta will be at Miss Universe 2024, a pageant that will take place in Mexico City.
