Miss Universe Cuba: Interview with the candidate Leanny González, representative of Artemisa

"My message to all those Cuban women is to not stop fighting for their dreams, because with effort and dedication, everything is possible."

We are starting a series of exclusive interviews with the 24 candidates competing for the title of Miss Universe Cuba, a pageant that marks the island's return to the international stage after 57 years.

In this opportunity, we talked to Leanny González, representative of Artemisa, who shares with us her inspiration to participate, her desire to show the world the essence of Cuban culture, and how her journey in this contest has transformed her life. Leanny, with passion and determination, reveals her dreams and her message for Cuban women, while she prepares to proudly carry Cuba's voice to the world.

What inspired you to participate in the Miss Cuba contest and what has your journey been like to get here?

I was inspired by the power to represent the Cuban woman internationally, to carry a voice and my talent to the whole world and to all those women, to represent them with dignity before the world.

My journey to here has been wonderful, I have learned a lot, I have changed internally and externally, and it's something I am proud of and I know I will continue to learn and grow.

What aspects of Cuban culture would you like to highlight if you win the crown?

I would like to represent folklore, our roots, our essence, what makes us truly unique.

What skills or life lessons have you learned in the competition?

I have learned to be disciplined, I have learned to be focused, to grow as a person, and, most importantly, to be unique.

What is your biggest professional or personal dream?

My biggest dream would be to hold a concert at Madison Square in New York singing my songs.

What message would you send to Cuban women and what would you say to girls 'future women'?

My message to all those Cuban women is to not allow themselves to stop fighting for their dreams, because with effort and dedication, anything is possible. And my message to all those girls, future women, is to take advantage of their youth and prepare themselves, because all that effort will lead them to success.

What do you think?
