A Cuban explains to Spanish tourists why the island is not a paradise: "Cuba used to laugh, now Cuba cries."

While wandering the streets of Havana, a Cuban explained to two Spanish tourists what the true Cuba is, the one that strays away from paradise.

Many tourists travel to Cuba guided by the paradise images sold by hotel and travel agencies; however, nothing compares to the experiences of an everyday Cuban to show the reality of their country.

While walking the streets of Havana, a Cuban explained to two Spanish tourists what the true Cuba is, one that strays from paradise.

"There are tourists who come here alienated, they come to paradise thinking they are in heaven, no, this is not heaven, look at the people in the streets because there is no electricity for five or six hours," says the Cuban in response to the surprised exclamation of one of the tourists.

"This is a colonial building, the Spaniards made it, what happens is that they have left it to fall apart, they haven't restored it, the only thing they are interested in is building hotels to get money from tourists, we are the ones who suffer," he adds, showing the deplorable state of the buildings in the Cuban capital about to collapse.

Tourists watch in astonishment at the poor construction condition of the city while recognizing the beauty it must have had at one time.

"A city when you made it, Cuba laughed, now Cuba cries, and it's sad that people don't even want to talk," says the Cuban.

While observing one of the buildings about to collapse, the tourist asks in surprise: “Is that lady there? Do people live in that building? Look at the conditions the building is in.”

"They don't want us to tell the tourists this. What do they want? For the tourists to stay in tourist areas, spend money, and Cuba is paradise," says the indignant Cuban.
