"This represents a great opportunity as a professional and a challenge at the same time," the journalist expressed in his message, highlighting the commitment involved in informing the community and the viewers who have supported Vallejo during this time.

In addition, he thanked Televisa Univisión for trusting him, as well as his coworkers, followers on social media, and especially his family, who has been by his side "in good times and bad."

He also recalled his Cuban roots and encouraged others to fight for their goals: “Here you have another Cuban, who left the island like all of you, with a backpack full of dreams. Work and fight for your goals, because living in freedom, anything is possible.”

In last August, Díaz shared his deep emotion at voting for the first time in a democratic election, a right he had never been able to exercise while living in Cuba.

In a post made on Facebook, Díaz expressed his enthusiasm for participating in the local elections in Miami, highlighting the importance of this democratic act.

Additionally, through his social media, Díaz has supported his compatriots making their way in Florida, and he has also denounced the regime's crimes in Cuba.
