The Cuban actor Héctor Noas sent an emotional message to his colleague and friend Diana Rosa Suárez, who is hospitalized in Guyana after suffering a heart attack.

"My love! My dear daughter... you will recover just like so many times before and we will continue celebrating your birthdays and successes because you are not only an iconic actress, but one of the best human beings I have ever known," she wrote on her Facebook account.

"Cubans, wherever we are, wish to keep seeing you smile. I kiss you," he concluded.

On Tuesday, Cuban journalist Julita Osendi provided an update on the health status of Diana Rosa Suárez, who was hospitalized in Guyana after suffering a heart attack and also has pneumonia.

According to Julita, the actress is being treated by Cuban and Guyanese doctors and "the Cuban embassy has taken charge."

The reporter clarified that when Diana was treated at the Cardiovascular Hospital in Havana, she was advised to be admitted, which she refused due to her flight to Guyana.

"It is expected that on Wednesday a coronary angiography will be performed to know for sure what treatment to follow," he clarified.

Last Saturday, while still in Havana, the artist experienced severe chest pain and was taken to the Instituto de Cardiología hospital, where two electrocardiograms were performed on her.

He later flew to Guyana, where local doctors confirmed that in addition to this heart attack, he has another one that may have occurred about three months ago, and they recommended a month of complete rest.

Diana Rosa traveled to Guyana to attend an appointment at the United States embassy to apply for a visa that would allow her to reunite with her granddaughters and nieces.

Your interview appointment was this Wednesday.

According to details provided to our outlet by a person close to the actress before she was admitted, the doctors said that it was not advisable to move her even to transfer her to an intensive care unit, because it could be risky to move her down two floors. However, it seems that this criterion changed.

Previously, Julita Osendi explained that the Ministry of Culture of Cuba was aware of the situation and promised to coordinate with the Ministry of Public Health so that the sick person could be attended to by the Cuban doctors on mission in Guyana.

On August 30, Diana Rosa Suárez celebrated her 80th birthday with a big party surrounded by friends and colleagues, such as Tahimí Alvariño, Paula Alí, Verónica Lynn, Néstor Jiménez, Mario Aguirre, Héctor Noas, Miriam Socarrás, and Gretel Cazón, as well as presenter Marino Luzardo and singers Beatriz Márquez and Héctor Tellez.

Diana Rosa was born in the Luyanó neighborhood in Havana and is the grandmother of two granddaughters who live in the United States.
