Willy Chirino shared a heartfelt message on his social media a few hours ago after learning about the serious health condition of the Cuban reggaeton artist El Taiger, who is fighting for his life after being shot in the head.
Through a post, the legendary Cuban singer showed his support for the artist, with whom he had met just a few days ago.
"Praying for the recovery of El Taiger," Chirino wrote. "Last Saturday he went to the Flamingo to see my show. Afterwards, he came to the dressing room where we talked briefly and took this photo; he posted it on his Instagram account and wrote some beautiful things about me that touched me," the singer recalled, accompanying his message with an image of both.
Chirino also added: "Today I am with you José and I pray to God to see you again on stage... Hopefully one day we can sing together in a free Cuba," ending his message with a heart emoticon and a Cuban flag.
Willy Chirino's message has moved thousands of followers and has been one of the many that El Taiger has received since the news of his delicate health condition became known. Many artists have added their voices on social media, sending messages of quick recovery and prayers.
Cuban reggaeton artist El Taiger is in critical condition after being shot in the head during an incident in Allapattah, Miami. The bullet entered through the front and exited from the right side of his head, primarily affecting that area. The singer was transferred to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he remains in intensive care after undergoing surgery.
"The forecast is to wait, we have to wait, it's a waiting game at the moment, no one can predict because the last thing to lose is faith," said his manager.
The events that occurred this Thursday are still under police investigation.
Several Cuban artists, worried about his condition, quickly went to the hospital to inquire about him. Among them, figures like El Micha, L Kimii, and Wow Popy have shown their solidarity. Meanwhile, messages of support for his speedy recovery are circulating on social media.
Just five days before this event that has left the Cuban artistic community in shock, El Taiger had shared the same photo with Willy Chirino along with a message of respect and recognition towards him.
"No Cuban is bigger than Cuba, but this one is the same size, thank you for so much, Guajiro. Efion x EFION LBMA one of the best in the world," wrote the reggaeton artist who is now, sadly, fighting for his life from the hospital.
