On social media, a Cuban showed a huge garbage pile in Havana, which covered an entire corner in the municipality of La Habana Vieja.
"The street belongs to the revolutionaries, there's revolution here for a while. Thank you #Fidel!", wrote ironically on X the user identified as @YandyDPCuba.
The publication clarifies that the garbage dump is located at the corner of Campanario and Neptuno streets.

"San José de las Lajas, and so all the corners," he said.

The official newspaper Granma reported on Friday that during his recent visit to the Diez de Octubre municipality, one of the most affected, the Cuban leader announced a strategic plan in which "each ministry will sponsor a municipality," with the goal of stabilizing solid waste collection and improving hygiene conditions in the city.
With the accumulation of more than 30,000 cubic meters of garbage daily in Havana, the situation has created tensions throughout the city. However, the crisis is not limited to this province.
In cities like Santiago de Cuba, residents have set fire to trash bins in protest.
