Miami police reported on Monday that they are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the whereabouts of citizen Damián Valdez-Galloso, known as "El Narra," who is allegedly the main suspect in the shooting of Cuban reggaeton artist El Taiger, who is currently fighting for his life in a hospital in the City of the Sun.
Valdéz-Galloso, who is considered a person of interest by authorities in relation to this case, resides in the city of Hialeah. He has brown eyes and hair; he weighs approximately 186 pounds and stands 5 feet 9 inches tall, officials stated at a press conference.
The man also has tattoos on both arms and on his chest.
The chief of police in Miami, Manuel Morales, told the media that his "detectives are working around the clock" and that they have "evidence that this was not a suicide attempt."
"We have both physical and digital evidence that leads us to believe this was not a suicide," stated the authorities, who did not miss the opportunity to quote Valdéz-Galloso: "if you are listening to this conference, please contact the police."
Valdéz-Galloso, who is of Cuban descent, has a criminal record that includes an arrest in 2021 and charges for grand theft. Since 2007, he has also been registered as a sex offender after being accused of having sexual relations with a 17-year-old minor.
It is known that the suspect has been detained by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on at least two occasions.
The first unofficial accusations against the suspect came from the Cuban singer Anyel Rubier Reyes, better known as Anyelo RR, who shared several photos of himself with Valdéz-Galloso and El Taiger.
Last Saturday, the Miami police arrived at the suspect's home, which intensified rumors on social media. However, these rumors were later quelled after it was clarified that no arrests had been made.
The police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 305 471-TIPS (8477) or visit the website crimestoppersmiami305.com.
If the tip leads to the arrest of the individual, the informant may be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
You can also contact the Homicide Unit of the Miami City Police Department at (305) 603-6350 and ask for any on-duty detective.
