"I will miss you until my last day": El Taiger's ex-girlfriend, Jany Mesa, dedicates a heartbreaking farewell message.

"Your absence is crushing; I can't understand that you left, that there won't even be craziness that I have to ignore, nor calls with good news to receive. I feel how the wound of my mother's mourning opens up again with you, as if she couldn't bear another loss."

Jany Mesa, ex-girlfriend of El Taiger, shared an emotional and heartbreaking message on her Instagram account following the tragic death of the Cuban reggaeton artist on October 10.

On Instagram, the model posted a video with photos and sweet moments they shared together, both as a couple and with the artist's daughters and grandmother, while the song "Yo te extrañaré" by Tercer Cielo played in the background. In her post, she revealed the deep pain she feels from the loss, expressing how difficult it is for her to accept his departure.

"I never thought I would have to write these words to say goodbye to you. Your absence is crushing; I can't understand that you are gone, that there will no longer be any craziness that I have to ignore, nor calls with good news to receive," the post shared a few hours ago began.

"I feel how my mother's mourning wound opens again with you, as if she could not bear another loss," she added in her extensive and heartfelt message, in which she recalled the relationship they shared, marked by moments of mutual support.

"I was hard on you, I know. I couldn't give you that banal comfort or those empty words. I guided you as family and sister before doing so as a woman in a romance; I opened the world to the answers you needed… I owed it to you for your sacrifices, for my feelings," she continued, referring to the deep bond they had, beyond a simple romance.

Jany also recognized the pain and internal struggles El Taiger was going through. “I knew that behind all your storms there was something in you that was worth rescuing. Even though you didn't want to hear what they were saying to you, we forcefully led you down that new path, the one you asked for and deserved, even if the discipline didn’t last long.” And she added: “I didn’t make it easy for you, I couldn't do that; those who truly care don’t have that option. The only thing I could offer was the truth, even if it hurt, because that's discipline, José, that's how you show you care.”

Throughout the post, the young woman expressed the deep connection they shared, mentioning that they understood each other in a special way: “I understood you, José, like the twin I never had. I saw those thousand characters that inhabited you, that hyperactivity and the weight of your pains. I understood your need to challenge the world, even when it wore you down inside… Because one day you told me, you and I share those shadows.”

He concluded his message with words that reflect the immense void left by the sudden departure of El Taiger: “I hold on to the adult/child who was improvising in this life as I now have to do… And rest assured, if you read this from somewhere… I will miss you until my last day.”

A few days earlier, while El Taiger was hospitalized in critical condition after being shot in the head, Jany had already dedicated words of support to him. “You have always been a child in a giant's body, and as Jany I am, I do not accept any version other than your best version,” she said on that occasion, making it clear that, despite having ended their relationship more than a year ago, she always supported him in his most difficult moments.

El Taiger passed away on October 10 at the Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. His departure has left a huge void in the Cuban music scene, among his colleagues, friends, loved ones, and fans worldwide.

On social media, there are countless expressions of grief, condolences, tributes, and also calls for justice to resolve the case and find the person responsible for the attack that truncated the artist's life at the age of 37.
