Jorge Junior, director of the popular Cuban group Los 4 and cousin of the late artist José Manuel Carbajal Zaldívar (El Taiger), made statements about the organization of the funeral and expressed his deep sorrow over the tragedy that has shocked the Cuban community.

Through a video on social media, Jorge Junior confirmed that the funeral services will take place on the weekend of October 18 and 19 at an important church in Miami, and extended an invitation to all those who wish to pay tribute to El Taiger.

"We will be together at the church of San Lázaro (Rincón de San Lázaro in Hialeah) to say goodbye to El Taiger as he deserves," he stated, visibly affected by the situation.

Jorge Junior asked followers for patience, promising that this week they will communicate the exact details about the schedules and order of the funeral, inviting those who wish to participate to join in saying goodbye to his cousin in the way he deserves.

During the message, he thanked those who have shown their support during this difficult time, highlighting the importance of his cousin's figure in Cuban culture. "He brought a lot of joy and a lot of music to this genre," he recalled with emotion.

The leader of Los 4 expressed that he is working alongside the lawyers and the family to ensure that El Taiger can rest in his homeland, next to his mother in Cuba, and assured that he will do everything possible to make this happen.

"We are looking at how to take my cousin to the island, so he can be buried alongside his mom as he deserves," he explained.

In his statements, Jorge Junior also expressed his confidence in U.S. authorities and called for justice for the death of El Taiger.

"I have a lot of faith in the laws here, in the authorities here," he said, reiterating that everyone deserves to know the causes and those responsible for this tragedy.

The artist concluded his message by expressing his gratitude to the people who have shown support, both in Miami and in Cuba. He highlighted how fans on the streets and at the airport have embraced him and offered their condolences, something he finds very moving.

El Taiger was a believer in God and in the Yoruba religion, something very common on the island due to the long process of religious syncretism in America and the Caribbean. He was the son of San Lázaro and a devotee of this saint who is very loved and revered in Cuba.
