Venezuelan TikToker sends condolences to Cubans after the death of El Taiger: "RIP the struggle of your country"

Followers thanked him for the message in his video, which has already accumulated more than 10 thousand likes in three days.

The Venezuelan TikToker Richard Alexander, who lives in Gran Canaria and often shares various content videos on the platform, including Cuban curiosities, his language, and other topics, joined the mourning for the death of the reggaeton artist El Taiger with an emotional video in which he paid tribute to "La TranKa de Cuba."

After referring to the word 'tranca' and some of its meanings in Cuban slang, he proceeded with a message of condolence for the death of the Cuban artist, as he was precisely known as "the tranka of Cuba."

Although he mentioned that he usually doesn't post content about tragic topics, he expressed that this time he felt the need to do so to send his condolences to the Cuban community. “I have created great Cuban friendships, and I have seen the impact of this news on the community,” he said, recalling how El Taiger was the first Cuban singer he saw in concert and that his song "El papelito" was one of his favorites. He closed his remarks alluding to the well-known saying that "those who leave do not die, but those who are forgotten" and affirmed that, not only for his artistic legacy but for many other reasons, it would be "very hard to forget one of the greatest representatives of Cuban music."

The video has touched the hearts of many Cubans who quickly expressed their gratitude in the comments. "I am Cuban and thank you for talking about El Taiger and for your condolences," wrote one follower, while another user added: "You are a person of respect, many in the genre haven't done what you are doing." Others expressed their sorrow over the loss: "They took the strength of my country away from us, fly high Taiger," and "He will always be in our hearts."

The death of José Manuel Carbajal Zaldívar, better known as El Taiger, occurred on October 10, 2024, after spending a week in critical condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, following being shot on October 3. His passing brought deep sadness both in Cuba and Miami, where the reggaeton artist had a solid base of followers.

The funeral of El Taiger will take place on October 18 and 19 at the Rincón de San Lázaro church in Hialeah, Miami, and the family has announced that his remains will be repatriated to Cuba to be buried next to his mother.

The video of Richard Alexander, who closed with a "Long live free Cuba!", has been very well received by the Cuban community, which has left him messages of gratitude for his empathy and respect towards all the fans, friends, and artists mourning the tragic death of El Taiger at the age of 37, following a week fighting for his life after being shot in circumstances that are still unknown and remain under police investigation.
