Cuban Institute of Music contradicts Jorge Junior and announces intimate ceremony for El Taiger.

The Cuban institution indicates that the decision to hold an intimate ceremony was made by the family.

The Cuban Institute of Music announced on Friday morning that El Taiger's ashes will be honored in an intimate ceremony "at the family's request," a piece of information that contradicts what Jorge Junior had said hours earlier by inviting his cousin's fans to give him a final farewell.

The official note from the Cuban cultural institution, published on its Facebook page, states: "This afternoon, the ashes of the Cuban musician José Manuel Carbajal Zaldivar (El Taiger), a prominent artist of the urban genre, who passed away on October 10 in Miami, Florida, United States, will arrive in Cuba."

"At the request of the family, his ashes will be honored in an intimate ceremony in the Juan Formel room of the El Sauce Cultural Center in Havana, and they will later be deposited in the Colón necropolis. The Cuban cultural institutions, which have supported the family and loved ones of José Manuel during the difficult days of his hospitalization and after his unfortunate passing, ask the admirers of the young musician to respect the family's decision to say goodbye in an intimate ceremony," the information adds.

In a live session on Instagram, Jorge Junior had told all the artist's fans on the island: "We will be in El Sauce, from 5 or 6, for all those people who want to stop by and, even if it's just to say their last goodbye, they can come without any problem."

The publication from the Cuban Institute of Music is a great disappointment for followers of El Taiger, who, like in Miami, were hoping to have the opportunity to pay one last homage to the Cuban reggaeton artist.
