Elizabeth Gutiérrez publicly commented on the recent statements made by Cuban actor William Levy regarding their breakup, in which he denied the accusations and rumors surrounding him following their separation.

During an appearance on the show Despierta América, the actress stated that her children are her priority and that she does not want to prolong the conflict. "I have never spoken badly of William in what I could control, and I will not do so because he is the father of my children. I will always respect him for being the father of my children," she said, referring to their two children together, Kailey and Christopher.

The actress explained that the most important thing for her is to prevent her children from being affected by the conflicts between them. She also emphasized that, despite the separation, they remain in contact for the well-being of the children.

"I never meant to hurt you, not at all. I'm trying to move forward and bring peace to our lives, which is why I don't want to continue with this," he assured.

For her, one of the main reasons for their separation was the lack of communication. Elizabeth explained that throughout their relationship, there were misunderstandings that they couldn't manage, and she regrets that a relationship as private as theirs ended up being exposed to the public.

"We didn't know how to handle it; it slipped out of our hands, and it's very unfortunate because we've both always fought hard for our family. To find ourselves in this situation, especially when we've always been so private, is definitely something none of the four of us would have wanted," he commented.

Finally, she talked about how she is coping with her new life after the breakup and acknowledges that despite the challenging months she has faced, she remains focused on the positive and feels grateful for the support. The actress affirms that she is centered on her children and on moving forward with her life and career.
