William Gutiérrez Levy is a model, television actor, film actor, and voice actor from Cuba, born on August 29, 1980, in Havana, Cuba.
Although he was born in Havana, at the age of 15, still a minor, his stepfather obtained political asylum in the United States, and William emigrated legally with him.
He began studying Business Administration but did not finish to pursue his true calling: acting and modeling. Hired by Next Model agency, he participated in two reality shows, Isla de la Tentación (2002) and Protagonistas de Novelas 2 (2002).
She studied acting in Miami, Los Angeles, and Mexico.
His acting career began in telenovelas produced by Venevision International. He made his debut with Olvidarte jamás (2005) and subsequently joined the cast of Mi vida eres tú (2006) and Acorralada (2007). With Pasión (2007-2008), he made his debut in Mexican television. His first leading role was in Cuidado con el ángel (2008-2009), which was broadcast by Univision. Since then, his career as a telenovela actor, predominantly in leading roles, has not stopped: Sortilegio (Mexico, 2009), Triunfo del Amor (2010-2011), and La tempestad (2013).
He has made appearances in television series such as Mujeres asesinadas (Mexico, 2010) and Single Ladies (VH1, 2012) and acted in films: Retazos de vida (2008), The Single Mums Club (2014), and Addicted (2014). He has also ventured into theater, serving as both lead and co-producer of Un amante a la medida (Mexico, 2009), later renamed Un amante perfecto (2010). He lent his voice to a character in Planet 51.
In 2012, he/she secured third place in the final of the reality show Dancing with the Stars.
He was an actor in the music video for the song “I'm into you” by Jennifer López.
She was the face of the Dolce & Gabbana clothing advertising campaign in 2010.
He has been selected several times by People magazine as one of the 50 Most Beautiful.
He was married to the American actress of Mexican descent, Elizabeth Gutiérrez, whom he met during his participation in Protagonistas de Novelas 2. Their two children were born from this relationship.
