After months of silence, staying out of everything that had happened, William Levy broke the silence about his high-profile separation from actress Elizabeth Gutiérrez in an interview with paparazzi Jordi Martin for the show El Gordo y la Flaca.

From Spain, where he is working on a new production, the Cuban actor addressed the rumors and comments about his relationship, stating that many of the things being said are false and defamatory. According to the soap opera heartthrob, the separation has been difficult not only for the actress and for him, but also for their children together, Christopher and Kailey. "The only person who suffers is not Elizabeth; the children come first," he said.

William Levy spoke about the shortcomings he experienced in his relationship of over two decades with Gutiérrez, stating that he gave his best and had an incredible life. However, he emphasized that relationships must be reciprocal, and he also needed love, respect, and admiration, which he felt were lacking. "A man also needs to receive from a woman, and not material things, but love, respect, and admiration," the actor expressed, making it clear that these factors also influenced their separation.

The Cuban assured that he does not feel alone, as he finds support in God and in his children, but he admitted that he has felt disappointed and deceived at certain times.

Regarding why he has remained silent, he said it has been to protect his children. "I may make mistakes, like any human being, but as a father, you won't find a single one," he stated proudly.

During the conversation, William Levy also denied an incident in which his ex-partner called the police accusing him of being with another woman in his family home. He stated that even if he had been with someone else, he had the right to do so as he had been separated from Gutiérrez for four months. Furthermore, he emphasized that he would never put his children in a situation where they would see him with another woman at an inappropriate time.

William Levy and Elizabeth Gutiérrez confirmed their separation at the beginning of the year after more than two decades together. The breakup was marked by allegations of infidelity and police interventions at their residence in Miami. This led the former couple to be in the spotlight of the media.
