Tekashi 6ix9ine was arrested this Tuesday in New York for allegedly violating the terms of his probation.
According to information from Telemundo 47 New York, the rapper allegedly violated the conditions imposed on him in an extortion case several years ago when he was granted parole to reduce his time in prison.
Daniel Hernández was scheduled to appear in front of the same federal judge, Paul A. Engelmayer, who sentenced him to two years in prison, on the afternoon of October 29.
That year, the New York rapper pled guilty to the charges against him, which accused him of leading the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods gang.
Upon appearing in court, Judge Paul A. Engelmayer stated that the singer violated the terms of the measure and ordered that the rapper return to court on November 12. However, he must remain in custody in the meantime.
In April of next year, Tekashi will complete the time required under probation.
The rapper's arrest coincided with an altercation he had with an influencer on Monday night at a nightclub in New York; however, it appears that these incidents are not related to his detainment.
