Cuban actress Larisa Vega joined the call for collaboration made by Andy Vázquez to assist those affected by Hurricane Oscar in the eastern provinces of Cuba.
The actor who portrays Facundo in the series Vivir del cuento expressed his gratitude for the gesture made by Larisa and her husband Rigoberto Morales (brother of actress Tamara Morales), who brought their contribution for the victims of the disaster.
"With great pleasure, it's just that what is happening is very terrible because, in addition, to lose the little that they have... well, in whatever way one can help, one helps," she expressed.
The artist has been residing in Cape Coral, in Lee County, since 2019, the city where Andy moved with his family after leaving Miami last January.
Last Friday, Andy called for solidarity with his fellow countrymen affected by Hurricane Oscar.
"I am here to ask the community for help, to all those who want to assist our brothers over in eastern Cuba, who have lost everything. Interested individuals can reach me at 239-470-8181," she said in a live broadcast.
The comedian displayed several packages with donations made by Cubans in the United States, as well as others prepared by himself.
"We are going to receive clothes, toys, nails, hammers, whatever... These are the things I bought yesterday at Walmart. I bought 100 pounds of beans, 270 candies, and some other little things... Here are also all the items that were left from the previous donation, from the lady whose house burned down," he explained.
Vázquez explained that those interested in contributing should do so through donations rather than money. "No money, only donations… items that you have lying around that you no longer use," he emphasized.
